Dr David D'Cruz

"I am a consultant rheumatologist in the Louise Coote Lupus Unit at St Thomas' Hospital and I have a particular interest in vascular disease. Hughes (antiphospholipid) Syndrome is a major cause of vascular thrombosis which results in significant often life threatening complications. I was pleased to join the Hughes Syndrome Foundation as a Trustee to actively promote research and education into this important condition."

Dr Munther Khamashta
"Since completing my training in Madrid and joining Graham Hughes in 1986, the whole focus of my career has been on Hughes Syndrome. This condition is a recent discovery and time will show that this is a very common disease. We definitely needed a major campaign to increase awareness and this is the main reason why we established the Hughes Syndrome Foundation".

Brian Roberts
"The Foundation's work in research and spreading the understanding of Hughes Syndrome will immeasurably relieve suffering and make life more bearable for many people"

John Wolffe
'My interest in helping the Hughes Syndrome Foundation in its important work dates from December 2001 when our oldest daughter, Louise, died suddenly at the age of 32 from Hughes Syndrome.'
