The book: Hughes
Syndrome: A Patient's Guide - written by Dr Graham Hughes,
published by Springer in 2001. This book describes
all the different clinical features of the disease using case
studies to illustrate each situation. It provides further
background information and is an excellent introduction and
overview.
A “Question
& Answer” paper - compiled by Dr Hughes and the
team of doctors at St Thomas' of the most frequently asked
questions and answers
Three newsletters
per year which will keep you informed about the most recent
research being undertaken into Hughes Syndrome at St Thomas',
plus all the latest news from the Foundation inlcuding any
fundraising activities held by us and our members, frequently
asked questions by our nurse and other patients' stories

Group details
Gold membership
includes all the features of the standard membership plus
a MediPAL
ID card and costs a total of £33 (£38 if you're
outside the UK).
MediPAL ID cards
are the size of a normal credit card and made from hard-wearing
plastic. They can hold your personal information, details
of your current daily medication (up to ten items), a brief
synopsis of your medical history plus contact numbers of your
doctor(s) and next of kin.
MediPAL has created
custom ID medical cards for members of the Hughes Syndrome
Foundation, and owners are entitled to two free changes during
the card’s lifetime. The cards would normally cost £14.99
but we can offer them to you for £13.00 in our gold
membership package—this is a one-off payment and there
is no annual fee. If you do apply for gold membership, you
will receive an application form directly from MediPAL - once
you have completed and returned it please allow four weeks
for delivery.
